Updated on environmentally friendly product trends 2023

Every day, we hear on TV and radio urging the use of environmentally friendly products. However, many people still don’t understand what environmentally friendly means and how to use them. We help you update on environmentally friendly product trends 2023.

1. Damages of Nylon Packaging

  • Non-Biodegradable: Nylon is a synthetic polymer that does not naturally break down in the environment. When nylon packaging ends up in landfills or the ocean, it can persist for hundreds of years, contributing to long-term pollution.
  • Wildlife Harm: Animals, both terrestrial and marine, can ingest or become entangled in discarded nylon packaging. This can lead to injury, suffocation, and death. For example, sea turtles and seabirds may mistake floating plastic bags for jellyfish, a common prey item.
  • Toxic Chemicals: Some nylon production processes involve the use of toxic chemicals and can release pollutants into the environment. For example, the production of nylon can release nitrous oxide, a potent greenhouse gas.
  • Waste Management Challenges: Disposing of nylon packaging can be challenging. Recycling rates for nylon are typically low, and incineration can release harmful pollutants into the air.
  • Health Concerns: There is growing concern about the potential health impacts of microplastic ingestion, as these tiny particles can enter the human food chain through seafood and other sources.

2. Updated on environmentally friendly product trends 2023

Far beyond expectations, today’s consumers are increasingly becoming aware of the harmful effects of the waste they release into the environment. Have you, at times, also said “No” to plastic bags and single-use plastic products? In response to this positive shift in consumer behavior, manufacturers are researching and introducing a wide range of products. This is not only to meet essential needs but also has significant implications for the environment.

A. Paper cup

Unlike the typical single-use paper cups, biodegradable paper cups are primarily constructed from premium-quality paper. Furthermore, they are coated with an environmentally friendly material. This material is called Polylactic Acid (PLA), which is entirely different from Polyethylene (PE) plastic material. PE plastic has long been the predominant material used to make paper cups.  Coconut Bowl

B. KRAFT Paper

Kraft paper, which is environmentally friendly, is currently in widespread use because it is an intelligent solution that delivers high efficiency. During the production process, paper can be recycled through thermal regeneration, thereby saving energy resources effectively. It is also known as recycled paper. This type of paper not only possesses advantages such as durability, flexibility, good ink absorption, and excellent waterproofing but also completely decomposes in nature. Another notable point is that it can be bleached for the recycling of commonly used white paper. With a 100% recycling capability, it is extremely environmentally safe.

C. Stainless steel straws, bamboo, wood…

A phenomenon that has gained momentum recently is the use of stainless steel straws, which young individuals are passing along as a trend. With an incredibly reasonable price, typically around 50,000 Vietnamese dong for a set of stainless steel straws along with a cleaning brush, or slightly more depending on the design, they are a one-time purchase that lasts a lifetime. You can use them thousands of times until you decide to stop, and all it takes is a simple cleaning with the provided brush after each use.
